The cottage in Ristinge has the 10 km long sandy beach in close proximity, which is able to attract both families of children or nature lovers. If you follow the small footpath that leads out onto Ristinge Hale, you will have a magnificent view of Marstal on Ærø. The Ristinge peninsula was formed by the Little Belt glacier during the last ice age. The beach here is one of the best on the island. If you drive south from Ristinge, to Tryggelev Nor, you will come to a bird sanctuary, which together with Nørreballe Nor forms a large nature reserve, where even the rare sea eagles have reestablished themselves. When you vacation on Langeland, fishing villages and wonderful endless sandy beaches, which are also child-friendly, await you with wonderful experiences. There are activities for every taste. In the south of the island you can play golf, admire the rich bird life or even marvel at wild horses. On Dovns Klint, the southern tip of the island, you can expect equally impressive nature and that in any season.
