Or take a trip to Stillinge Strand, where there is an almost southern atmosphere all summer long. A short distance away you will also find the golf course and the active trading town of Slagelse. Slagelse is also home to one of the largest barracks in Denmark. Therefore, every Wednesday you can experience the guard hussars riding through the town. Also worth a visit is Birkegårdens Haver - a 10,000 m² adventure garden with animals and playground. In Kragerup Gods you can feel the rustle in the treetops, play soccer or go canoeing. If you are a Viking fan, it is worth visiting Trelleborg Viking Castle near Hejninge, which is to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Admission is free, but not during the Viking Festival, which takes place every year in week 29.
