Welcome to the Wheelchair Oasis! The first completely wheelchair-accessible holiday apartment in the Baltic Sea resort. A conveniently ascending ramp takes you to the front door with virtually no thresholds.
The Weidefelder sandy beach with beach chairs, restaurant, kiosk, a paved terrace and wheelchair access to the beach is only about 300 metres away and is an attractive destination all year round. The harbour promenade with pizzeria and small shops invites you to take a stroll.
With floor-to-ceiling windows and a large adjoining terrace, the light-flooded open-plan living and dining area is the heart of the apartment.
The furnishings in a Nordic, modern style welcome you in and create a feel-good atmosphere. Here, a cosy double sofa bed with sleeping function, a TV and a wood-burning stove provide cosy warmth and comfort even on rainy days or after a long day at the beach.
And when the sun beckons, the large terrace is already waiting for you. Wheelchair users can easily reach it via a small wooden threshold. Here you can savour the fresh Baltic Sea air and the summer sun to the full. With garden furniture, XL beach chair and barbecue, you can also spend barbecue evenings together.
In the fully equipped kitchen, the sink and hob are wheelchair-accessible. The extractor bonnet can be reached from a seated position and the oven has telescopic rails and is set higher. The dining area offers space for up to 6 people with a wheelchair-accessible dining table.
There are two bedrooms with comfortable beds for a good night's sleep. The first bedroom is equipped with a double bed with a comfortable entrance height and individually electrically adjustable slatted frames, while the second bedroom with two single beds (90 x 200 cm) invites you to enjoy a restful night's sleep. One of these has a lifting pole and is height-adjustable thanks to a motorised frame. The sofa bed in the living area offers two further sleeping places.
A travel cot and high chair are also available for younger guests.
You will find a wall bar and a mat for free use in the bedroom.
The shower room has a level-access shower with corner railing, shower chair and extra rail to hold on to. The toilet is set higher, can be accessed from both sides and has fold-up support handles. The washbasin and mirror cabinet are also adapted for wheelchair users. The infrared cabin provides your very own wellness moments and has grab handles both inside and outside.
In order to offer all-round holiday comfort, you will find a wheelchair (40 cm seat), sand toys for our little guests and your own parking space in front of the holiday apartment. There is also a lockable bicycle shed in front of the holiday apartment
Our favourite place: relaxing in the beach chair on the terrace on a summer evening
Do you have any questions about the facilities? You can find answers in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmWqpMGrSxc. If a wheel of your wheelchair should go flat during your stay, there is a service on site that will take care of pumping it up.
We believe that this house is accessible for our guests with reduced mobility, but we advise all guests to check the suitability of the house based on their own requirements.
Please note that OstseeResort Olpenitz is still under construction due to high demand. Nevertheless, the properties already meet a 5-star standard and offer you a first-class stay. Any construction work at the resort will not affect your holiday enjoyment, which is why additional discounts are excluded.
