The city of Ragusa is about 8 km away, so you really shouldn't miss visiting its world famous Ragusa Ibla district, which is one of Sicily's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. For those who prefer the sea: the sandy beaches of the so-called Iblea coast are 10 km away and at 12 km is the town of Marina di Ragusa, called "the pearl of the Iblei", di rich in pubs, bars and restaurants where you can taste the excellent fish and meat dishes of the region. If you plan to explore the southeastern part of Sicily, Catania and Syracuse are within 100 km, while Noto Caltagirone and the Vendicari Nature Reserve are about 50 km away and Modica, Comiso, Scicli and Pozzallo are all within 20 km.
