If you want to explore the wider region of Istria, you can plan trips by car to Pula and Rovinj, two ancient Roman towns on the coast. Both are about an hour's drive away and you can spend the whole day exploring each, as they are full of famous historical sights - such as the Pula Arena and the Church of St. Euphemia in Rovinj.
